Project specifications (type of work, quantity, size, materials) will be defined. Once defined, a cost estimate based on the hourly rate (for design and developement) or service charge (for screen printing) and the number of hours needed to complete the project will be submitted to you for evaluation, usually within three business days.

A Statement of Work Proposal will be drawn up outlining the project and will include development details, project schedule and milestones (if needed), payment terms, deliverables dates, the cost estimate, etc.

Upon request, Morse Graphics will also obtain press quotes during this phase and will provide print coordination services.

A color proof is recommended for all 4-color print jobs.

Once Morse Graphics has approved the final printed product, arrangements will be made for delivery, pickup, or shipment.

Note: Morse Graphics reserves the right to samples of all printed work for portfolio and business promotion purposes.

Contract

Morse Graphics requires all clients to approve and sign a contract that will protect both Morse Graphics and the client, and provide a solid expectation and agreement about creation and delivery of the project.

The contract will evolve from the Statement of Work and will be legally binding upon both the client and Morse Graphics. Work will not commence until a signed contract has been received by Morse Graphics

To make sure you have the best solution for your design needs we will develop a creative brief based on: Type and Size of printed pieceTarget Market: Knowing who your potential customers will help us choose the right style to draw your customer in. Layout & Style: We will examine ways of using color schemes, layout, sizing, and style in your printed material to clearly communicate your message to your target audience.Content: pre-existing logos, color schemes, photos, taglines, and copy - deadlines will be set for submission of content to the designer.Paper stock and colorBasic RateThe basic hourly rate applies only to design and development work. Screen Printing rates vary based on item quantity, number of colors, etc. All other costs will be referred to as contingency costs or expenses. ExpensesIncurred when the project requires use of materials or vendors other than design or print work performed by Morse Graphics. Expenses may include:• Color proofs, film, screens, and other pre-press production items• Photos and film development• Stock Photo and/or Clipart purchases specifically related to the project• Print coordination fees and job pickup/delivery costs• Sub-contracting & other vendor costsContingency CostsElements not covered by contract may include:• Rush charges for projects with quick deadlines• Charges for changes to the project outside the contractually defined scopeBilling & Payment Terms• A percentage (generally 25%) of estimated project costs are due upon contract signing unless the project is small. • Progress payments for project milestones will be indicated in the statement of work/contract - if applicable.• Invoices are due upon receipt and must be paid NO LATER THAN 15 DAYS from project completion unless otherwise spec'd in the contract. All invoices overdue past 30 days will be sent to collections promptly.Project CancellationShould client stop the project at any time during the development period, designer will invoice for work completed up to the point of termination.
